Mason Kiwanis Club
The Mason Kiwanis Club, chartered in 1956, has nearly 90 members; contributes over 2,000 volunteer hours annually; and, raises about $45,000 annually to support local service and humanitarian organizations. The Club also conducts recognition programs throughout the year to honor exceptional students and community leaders. The Mason Scholarship Foundation, an independent 501(c)3, was established by the Club in 1983 and receives annual funding from the Club .The Foundation awards 3-4, 4-year scholarships a year to deserving local students.
Funds raised from the Kiwanis Club's efforts go back to the community through: Mason Scholarship Foundation, Students Making a Difference Program, Mason Library Summer Reading Program, 4H Clover Awards, Brush of Hope, Building Blocks for Kids, Child Advocacy Center, Interfaith Hospitality Network, Mason Challenger Baseball League, Mason Schools Mentoring Program, Mason Police Good Ticket Program, Mason Food Pantry, Safe on Main, Numerous Mason School Programs & Services, and many other local community service projects and organizations.
