Tess McHenry

Nothing gives me greater pleasure than knowing I’ve made a positive difference in the lives of the families and seniors in my community. Having assisted thousands of families in my earlier role as a Senior Living Advisor, I have been in the front lines holding their hands while they make one of the most difficult decisions in their life.

I am now blessed to work in harmony with the many professionals in our community who also offer “senior provided” services.  I know together we can be the connection families so desperately need during this challenging chapter. Together we work to inform and empower families in this senior care maze ensuring families can make the best choices possible regarding senior housing or care.

I am also the President and Founder of Everything Eldercare, which is a networking group of professionals in the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky area.

MADE Chamber and community involvement:

Assisting seniors and their families with counsel, placement, advocation and support. Providing the education and information necessary to make knowledge-based decisions affecting our area seniors.

Hosting networking events to facilitate the collaboration of likeminded professionals in the senior care industry.

Seminars for professionals and the community to provide continuing education and informative content regarding all things senior care, placement assistance and a plethora of topics affecting our seniors

Why is being part of the Mason Deerfield Chamber important to you/your organization?

Having moved to Mason in 1978 at a very young age, I am proud to call Mason my hometown.  I graduated from Mason High School in 1986.  Mason has grown exponentially since then, though I still feel the “smalltown” values.  With that being the core of who I am, being rooted in the community and providing assistance for our cherished elderly population feeds my soul.

Fun facts about you/your business:

I was the FIRST Certified Senior Advisor in the Tri-state area. After 11 years of travel, training and driving revenue for a big corporation, the company I represented sold.  The new ownership wanted quantity over quality.  I could not/would not sacrifice my morals and ethics.  I took a leap of faith and started Eldercare Connections.  Being at the helm of my own company, I could stay true to my passion - helping seniors and their families regardless of their socioeconomic status.

Like the emerald, businesses and organizations have many facets. Which facet is your strength and why?

Like the emerald is rare, so is my company with each facet showing a beautiful side of how we take pride in treating each family as if they were our own. We go above and beyond to ensure that the level of care they need matches the care they'll receive.  We are committed to providing unlimited advocation of the seniors we help to make certain they are receiving the quality of love and care they deserve.

Eldercare Connections is my emerald, and the families we serve are the precious gems that surround the stone.

If your company culture, or personal persona, had to be summed up in five words or less, reflective of a gemstone, what would they be?

Shine light on the world
