Warren Co. Community Services

Mason Deerfield Chamber involvement:

We are thankful to be able to attend various networking and training events such as Bagels and Business Solutions and Connections Made. We also love attending the MADE for Purposeful Experiences luncheon and the Gems of Excellence dinner.

Community involvement:

Our community involvement is focused on partnerships. Thanks to Miami Valley Gaming donating food we are able to offer farmers markets. We partner with WCPO on a toy drive to ensure low-income children in our Head Start program have toys at Christmas. Our RSVP program connects senior citizens with volunteer opportunities at local nonprofits. Our Adult New Readers program works with the Warren County jail on a literacy program. Our annual March for Meals program allows community leaders to deliver meals as part of our Meals on Wheels program. We partner with United Way of Warren County to provide books to children from low-income families as part of the"Stop Summer Slide" project. We always aspire to be, as our mission includes, the fabric of the community.

Other milestones, achievements, etc.:

We celebrated our 50th anniversary in 2016. Our Early learning Centers, which our five Head Start programs are under, are the highest 5-star State of Ohio Step Up to Quality rating possible. In 2017 we opened a new Meals on Wheels facility, thanks to Premier Health and Atrium Medical Center,  creating a more efficient environment for the program. 2018 we launched a Therapeutic Interagency Preschool (TIP) classroom to serve eligible preschool age children who have experienced trauma.

Fun facts about you/your business:

In one years time we deliver over 281,000 meals to seniors through Meals on Wheels. Over 100 adults were tutored by volunteers to increase their literacy skills last year. In 2018, 402 children participated in school readiness services to prepare for kindergarten.

Why is being part of the Mason Deerfield Chamber important to you/your organization?

It is important to be a part of the chamber for many reasons. It helps us stay connected to the community. It provides our organization networking opportunities. It helps boost publicity and helps with marketing. It assists with advocacy and gives us a voice for common interests.
