Every gem has something that makes it shine. What would you say is your greatest strength or “sparkle,” and how does it show up in your/your organizations work?

My greatest sparkle is probably my enthusiasm! I have a lot of energy, I genuinely like people, and I’m usually the person trying to turn an idea into something bigger and more exciting. That carries into my organization’s work through collaboration, creativity, and a willingness to say, “Okay, but what if we tried this?” I think my best contribution is helping people see what’s possible and having a good time while we figure it out. Working with seniors and their families can be daunting but I approach each day with energy and excitement. My favorite compliment is when a family/resident says to me "you made this fun" when deep down, it is really emotional and tough a lot of the time.

Brett Parr is a proven sales professional, community leader, and relationship builder. Throughout his career, Brett has built a reputation for delivering strong sales results through a combination of strategic thinking, genuine relationship-building, persistence, and a “never say no” mentality. He currently serves as the Senior Living Consultant at Deerfield Springs Retirement Resort, where he has achieved 100% occupancy and manages an extensive waitlist.

His professional success is matched by a strong commitment to giving back. Brett is actively involved in his community and passionate about supporting local organizations, the arts, and opportunities that bring people together. Out of the office, Brett serves on the Board of Trustees for Cincinnati Music Theatre, volunteers with Cincinnati Pride & the Make-A-Wish Foundation, performs with many local theater organizations, and is a graduate of both Cincinnati City Council Bootcamp and Cincy Next. He loves to cheer on the Cincinnati Bengals, is a die-hard Dolly Parton fan, and can often been seen supporting the many local restaurants and breweries in the area. Brett is a proud graduate of Kent State University. He lives in Sycamore Township with his husband, McLean, two rescue pups, and one sassy cat.

If your company culture, or personal persona, had to be summed up in five words or less, reflective of a
gemstone, what would they be?

Being part of the MADE Chamber allows us to show off our gorgeous community to both prospective residents and community members alike. MADE supports its members and the communities in countless ways, and getting the chance to be a part of the MADE Family is equal parts exciting and humbling. We are surrounded by amazing companies, non-profits, and local groups and MADE makes it all possible to work together and ensure success for years to come.

Deerfield Springs has soft-serve ice cream 24 hours a day for all residents and guests!

I have worked at Walt Disney World as a Jungle Cruise Skipper, along with Carnival Cruise Lines, Cedar Point, and Kings Island.

I have sang the National Anthem for the NFL at the Pro Football Hall of Fame Enshrinement Festival.
