Lindner Center of HOPE, 2024 Pink Diamond Finalist
MADE Chamber & Community Involvement:
-
As much as schedules allow, I support and participate in the MADE Chamber. I have worked to build bridges between the critical mental health services provided by Lindner Center of Hope, the Chamber, and the local business community. I have connected our subject matter experts with MADE for educational events. Likewise, I facilitated bringing mental health conversations to the forefront with Mason City Schools staff and other businesses.
-
Partnering with Manor House for many years, we have also offered free community education sessions to increase awareness and reduce stigma around mental health and addiction.
Fun Facts About You/Your Business:
-
I have so enjoyed working on a re-branding initiative for Lindner Center of Hope. I have been touched by the perspectives on the Center learned through stakeholder group interviews. Through those, we have a new symbol of hope that emphasizes the nurturing light our staff shine through every day.

Why is being part of the Mason Deerfield Chamber important to you/your organization?
Like the pink diamond, businesses and organizations have many facets. Which facet is your strength and why?
If your company culture, or personal persona, had to be summed up in five words or less, reflective of a
gemstone, what would they be?
MADE is an essential vessel for collaboration and building community. MADE has set a standard for how working together can improve the quality of service and experience for all. Through the Chamber, I have been able to grow personally and professionally through the relationships I have made and the network that has been offered to me and Lindner Center of HOPE.
The meaning of the pink diamond is compassion, empathy, and unconditional love. My work at Lindner Center of Hope has focused around assuring those life-affirming elements are reaching as many people as possible. I have worked to ensure Lindner Center of Hope is a beacon for those experiencing the darkness of mental health or addiction.
Lindner Center of HOPE embodies its mission with integrity, viewing every life as precious, like a gemstone.
