A Bit About Rick Boyle
Rick is a long-time Mason resident, graduate of Mason High School, and the Owner of Creative Contracting Inc., a residential Design/Build Remodeling company located in downtown Mason. His team of talented craftsman and design professionals have been providing architectural design services and residential remodeling to Mason families for over 30 years.
Rick’s passion for the trades and his willingness to invest in our community motivated him to help create a pilot program that provides hands-on training for local high school students. The Skilled Trades Workshop was a vision brought to life in 2024 by a partnership between Creative Contracting, The MADE HUB for Manufacturing, Mason City Schools Experiential Learning Program, Kings High School, and MI Homes. The pilot program exceeded expectations. The program has been renewed (and expanded) for 2025-2026 school year.
Outside of his role within Creative Contracting, Rick is an active Board Member with the Mason Deerfield Chamber, property owner and proud supporter of the Mason Mile Project, Member of the Mason Deerfield Rotary Club, Vice-President of the Mason Football Boosters Club, Board Member for Conduit and The Certified Apprentice Program (CAP), and enjoys his role as an Assistant Scout Master for Mason Boy Scout Troop 500.
In his spare time, Rick, his wife Melissa, their two children (Kellie and Jake), and their dog (Chester) enjoy spending time together watching football, camping, eating, or just hanging out by the pool.
Learn A Bit More
Why is being part of the Mason Deerfield Chamber important to you/your organization?
Like the amethyst, businesses and organizations have many facets. Which facet is your strength and why?
If your company culture, or personal persona, had to be summed up in five words or less, reflective of a
gemstone, what would they be?
Mason is my home. My mother moved our family here almost forty years ago in search of a fresh start. That decision changed the trajectory of my life in many ways, introduced me to a new peer group, and provided me with both personal and professional opportunities that otherwise would not have existed. Being a part of the Mason Deerfield Chamber is my way of saying thank you to a community that has given me so much.
I believe my strength is problem solving. In school I always enjoyed math and as I have gotten older, I have learned the value of applying the same strategic principle to evaluating a situation from multiple angles, exploring different solutions, and ultimately making a calculated decision. This approach helps within both my business and my personal life.
